The HEIDENHAIN LC 181 first generation absolute linear scale for CNC machine tools using EnDat interface for travels up to 3040mm. The LC 181 can produce an absolute value to a resolution of 0.1µm and finer over a measuring length of 3 meters.

Description
The HEIDENHAIN LC 181 series absolute linear encoders provide the absolute position value immediately upon switch on, without previous movement of the machine axes. The absolute value is transmitted serially to the subsequent electronics over the EnDat interface.

- EnDat (synchronous serial) data interface
- 1Vpp incremental signals
- 16µm signal period
- 100nanometer measuring step
- ±3µm and ±5 um accuracy grades
- Recommended measurement steps 1µm to 0.1µm
- Measuring lengths from 240mm to 3040mm
IMPORTANT: When replacing this LC 181, the current model may not be a direct replacement due to the LC 181 16µm signal period. Please call us with the ID# off your older LC 181 and we will find a solution for you.
