The HEIDENHAIN ROD 480 incremental rotary encoder with integral bearing and 10m diameter shaft. The ROD 480 rotary encoders feature a rugged design and compact dimensions, that are coupled to the drive or the spindle via a separate rotor coupling. Axial motion and misalignment (radial and angular offset) between the encoder shaft and the drive shaft are compensated by the coupling.
