The Renishaw OMM optical receiver is used in conjunction with the MI 12 interface, which processes signals between one or two optical transmitters (OMMs) and the CNC control. The Renishaw OMM and MI12 combination is the flexible solution for a wide variety of machines. The OMM unit comprises an optical reciever that communicates with a spindle or turret mounted probe. Probe trigger and control signals are processed by the separate MI12 interface, located in the machine tool control cabinet. |
