The HEIDENHAIN ROD 456 incremental rotary encoder with integral bearing and 6mm diameter shaft.  The ROD 456 rotary encoders feature a rugged design and compact dimensions, that are coupled to the drive or the spindle via a separate rotor coupling. Axial motion and misalignment (radial and angular offset) between the encoder shaft and the drive shaft are compensated by the coupling.
