The HEIDENHAIN ROD 486 incremental rotary encoder with integral bearing and 6mm diameter shaft. The ROD 486 rotary encoders feature a rugged design and compact dimensions, that are coupled to the drive or the spindle via a separate rotor coupling. Axial motion and misalignment (radial and angular offset) between the encoder shaft and the drive shaft are compensated by the coupling.
The HEIDENHAIN ROD 486 incremental rotary encoder offers the following features…
- 6mm diameter shaft
- Line counts from 1000 to 5000
- 1Vpp signal
- Single reference mark
- 5V ±0.5V
- 180 KHz cut off frequency
- 16000rpm mechanical permissible speed
- Operating temperature: -40°C to 100°C
- Protection rating IP67
- Cable or flange socket (radial/axial) options
System accuracy System Accuracy ± 0.5µm (1/20 of grating period)
